Overview
As part of the IMPERO series "Postcard from War Zone" also uses traditional female handicrafts transforming ephemeral object in contemporary conceptual art works The maps embroidered in "Postcard from War Zone" are based on interviews with civil war survivors. War is not a quantifiable event define by data and air strikes. It is a human crisis deeply impacting civilian and particularly woman years after the events. These maps depict that split moment of a second when you life is an danger or is inevitably changing before you eyes for ever. In that moment the human brain create a map of memories, escape routs and locations of the people you care about changing the perception of the world around you. With "Postcard from War Zone" I’m interested in depicting that moment for every one to understand the true human impact of war. Through these maps the viewer can read and see thought the eye of the victim at a deeper level without knowing her face and allowing the victim to maintain her privacy
